About Wrapped XRP (WXRP)

What is Wrapped XRP?

Wrapped XRP (WXRP) is an Ethereum-compatible, ERC-20 token that is pegged 1:1 with XRP, the native cryptocurrency of the XRP Ledger. XRP Ledger another blockchain that is designed to facilitate fast and cost-effective cross-border payments. It was created in 2012 by developers David Schwartz, Jed McCaleb, and Arthur Britto, who are the founders of Ripple. XRP Ledger is not EVM compatible. The Wrapped XRP, like other wrapped tokens, allows XRP holders to use their tokens on the Ethereum network for trading, staking, and participating in decentralized applications.
