About SPYon

SPYon is an Ondo tokenized version of the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) that gives you economic exposure similar to the S&P 500 index via SPY. Its asset ticker, SPYon, is a combination of the traditional finance (TradFi) ticker, in this case SPY, with the suffix “on”, which denotes that it is an Ondo Global Markets tokenized asset.

Launched in 1993, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) was designed to track the S&P 500 Index, which represents 500 of the largest publicly traded companies in the United States. Often viewed as a barometer of US equity market performance, the S&P 500 spans sectors such as technology, healthcare, financials, energy, and consumer goods. SPY has become one of the most widely traded and recognized ETFs in the world.
