Centralised Exchange (CEX) Support Available on MMI
MetaMask Institutional continues to expand on-chain data access and now offers support to all EVM networks
Crypto Funds, Crypto VCs, DAOs, and traditional organisations must monitor, manage and report on their digital assets. However, managing assets across multiple platforms remains a challenge. From the challenges of combining on-chain data across EVM Networks, to alternative Layer-1 networks whilst incorporating centralised exchange data. That’s why MetaMask Institutional (MMI), specialises in on-chain data.
We have created an industry standard for DeFi data and today are excited to now offer the ability to transact, monitor, manage and report across all EVMs.
Constantly improving access to on-chain data for MMI users
We offer rich and in-depth DeFi profit and loss and performance data, snapshot valuations and transaction history through our Portfolio Dashboard interface and our API suite. Over the last year, we have not only expanded the depth and breadth of our EVM data but also expanded to Solana and are excited to share that Bitcoin support has also been added.
As we continue to expand support to other non-EVM L1’s, we also wanted to ensure we cover off-chain data and in April of this year, we announced our MeshConnect integration.
To use Andrew Chen’s cold start problem as a metaphor, we started with the “hard side of the network”. On-chain data is one of our many core areas of expertise and is one of the most challenging problems to solve at scale.
With Mesh, we offer organisations the ability to connect their Centralised Exchange data into our consolidated Portfolio Dashboard, which shows all their holdings in one intuitive interface. Users can connect their Coinbase Prime, Binance Institutional and OKX Institutional accounts. We will shortly be adding a range of additional Pro, Prime and Institutional accounts from additional centralised exchanges.
How to add an centralised exchange to your MMI Portfolio Dashboard
Adding a centralised exchange account can be done with just the click of a few buttons. By navigating to the accounts section and centralised exchanges tab in the Portfolio Dashboard, organisations can click connect CeFi accounts.
Next, simply selecting the exchange they want to connect.
Lastly, connecting their relevant prime account with the passwords, API keys and relevant secret keys (depending on the exchange)
Connected account balances will be added to the Portfolio Dashboard token section, where we provide pricing and valuation of the asset.
All centralised exchange account assets will also be included within the daily snapshot valuations of the organisations.
Increasing access to more on-and-off chain data to come
As we continue to focus on providing access to any asset anywhere, we want to ensure we provide a truly holistic experience to users.
To date, we have focused on providing the most comprehensive access to DeFi and, this year, have expanded to alternative layer-1’s along with Bitcoin support. In our focus to ensure we are solving for the needs of institutions, we’ll continue to grow the depth of centralised exchange data, ensuring users can read but also eventually transact on any venue (both on the chain or off-chain) of their choice from within MMI.
