Santiment is a crypto analytics platform created by Maksim Balashevich in 2016. It produces in-depth data and analysis of crypto trends, including real-time token tracking, blockchain market patterns, whale movements, and social sentiment.
In 2017, Santiment launched a utility and governance token, straightforwardly named Santiment Network Token (SAN), which is ERC-20 and therefore compatible with the Ethereum network. SAN is used to pay for services on the Santiment platform, and holding or staking the token grants access to premium analytics, dashboards, and data on Santiment. SAN is also given as a reward to active community members, and contributors who submit data insights and improvements.
