What is Wrapped XRP?

Wrapped XRP (WXRP) is an Ethereum-compatible, ERC-20 token that is pegged 1:1 with XRP, the native cryptocurrency of the XRP Ledger. XRP Ledger another blockchain that is designed to facilitate fast and cost-effective cross-border payments. It was created in 2012 by developers David Schwartz, Jed McCaleb, and Arthur Britto, who are the founders of Ripple. XRP Ledger is not EVM compatible.
