After launching notifications in Portfolio in November 2023, we’re excited to introduce real-time wallet activity notifications on MetaMask Extension, allowing you to stay in the loop for key occurrences like:
Sending and receiving funds (ETH and ERC-20 tokens)
Sending receiving NFTs (on Ethereum and Polygon)
Staking and unstaking ETH (on Lido and Rocket Pool)

How to access notifications on MetaMask wallet
For Extension: Notifications can be turned on in Settings in MetaMask Extension by clicking the 3 dots at the top of the menu to access the new “Notifications” section. Learn more in our guide here.
How to navigate notifications if you have MetaMask Snaps installed
If you have snaps installed, you will see the notifications list split into three sections, “All”, “Wallet” and “Web3” where you will see snaps notifications under the “Web3” tab:
You can also receive browser push notifications so if you don’t have the MetaMask Extension open, you can still be alerted when there is a wallet activity!
