Gas fees are crypto’s equivalent of credit card transaction fees—a small amount that you pay when you transact or execute a contract on Ethereum or other networks. Gas fees, AKA network fees, keep the ecosystem running, but can also make using crypto clunky, time-consuming, and costly. Up until recently, if you didn't have enough ETH to cover your gas fees, you couldn’t move forward with your transaction. Instead, you’d need to on-ramp additional ETH in order to continue. But no more. Running out of gas when transacting is now a thing of the past. Our Swaps now include network fees in the quotes you receive. And, you aren’t limited to a specific liquidity source for your Swaps. We will still compare prices across the same wide variety of providers. MetaMask Swaps aggregate data from decentralized exchange aggregators, market makers, and DEXs, to ensure you receive competitive quotes with the lowest network fees.
Gas Station is also available on app transactions and when sending crypto.Gas included swaps are available on Ethereum Mainnet and BSC in MetaMask Extension and Mobile when you enable Smart Transactions. For more information, refer to our guide here.
Note: Transaction value must be sufficient to also cover the cost of gas, and include the following assets: USDT, USDC, DAI, ETH, wETH, wBTC, wstETH, wSOL.
