What is yearn.finance (YFI)?

Yearn Finance (YFI) is a decentralized cryptocurrency, started in 2020 by Andre Cronje. YFI token is associated with the Yearn Finance protocol. Cronje created Yearn Finance to give regular users access to advanced yield optimization strategies that were previously only available only to advanced investors or institutions. The protocol allows users to participate in yield farming and lending without technical expertise.
