Alpha Bites is MetaMask's new regular market report. Context, data, signal—not financial advice.
The Number
0.0008%
The share of global equity markets currently living on a blockchain. $1 billion in tokenized stocks against $126.7 trillion in total equity market capitalization (as of the end of 2024). The $1 billion mark was crossed on March 10—a roughly 2,800% jump from the same week in 2025. McKinsey sees tokenized assets at as much as $2 trillion by 2030 (excluding crypto and stablecoins). That's still only 1.6% of today's equity market, which would be 2,000x growth from the milestone crossed last month.
Quick Bites
Palantir reports Monday - The stock has had a volatile year and Q1 numbers land May 4. Revenue consensus is $1.532–$1.536 billion—up about 74% year-over-year—driven by government AI contracts and AIP platform expansion. PLTRon is available as an RWA on MetaMask Swaps.
UCL semis - PSG, Bayern Munich, Atlético Madrid, and Arsenal are still in. Second legs follow May 5 and 6, with the final set for May 30. The tightest moments of the European football calendar tend to be the heaviest volume windows for football prediction markets, which are available on MetaMask.
Hormuz remains the macro wildcard - The dual US–Iran blockade on the Strait of Hormuz is intact heading into May. Until it isn't, every ceasefire signal, escalation report, or supply update is a directional catalyst for crude. USOon—the tokenized United States Oil Fund—offers oil exposure without a commodities brokerage account.
Perps in focus - BTC has held its post-March recovery range heading into FOMC, which the committee voted to keep at 3.50–3.75% as expected. ETH continues its recent consolidation, with Glamsterdam the forward catalyst. The S&P 500 perp is tracking record-setting equity action as Q1 earnings beat estimates broadly.

The Big Bite
The earnings call you don't need a brokerage to trade
Apple reports Q2 FY26 after market close Thursday. Consensus sits at $109.69 billion in revenue and $1.95 EPS—about 15% revenue growth year-over-year. It's also Tim Cook's last earnings call before September's transition to John Ternus.
By 4:01pm ET, AAPL stops trading on the NYSE. AAPLon doesn't. The tokenized version of Apple keeps moving around the clock, at least five days a week—the print drops, the call begins, the call ends, and the price keeps adjusting.
Right now it's a tiny portion of the market (see The Number above) that keeps moving onchain when the office hours end.
The Number (0.0008%) is small for a reason that has nothing to do with technology. Custody, brokerage relationships, and geography have decided who gets to hold US equities for the better part of fifty years. Most of the world doesn't have an account at a US broker. Most US brokers don't trade after hours, on weekends, or on holidays. The bottleneck has always been distribution.
Now, with AI agents that never sleep proliferating worldwide, breaking that bottleneck wide open feels inevitable.
McKinsey's aforementioned projection that up to $2 trillion could move onchain by 2030 is its central scenario—the bull scenario is $4 trillion.
