About ShapeShift FOX (FOX)
ShapeShift is a decentralized exchange (DEX), launched in 2014 by Erik Voorhees. It was initially launched as a non-custodial crypto swapping platform that allowed you to exchange tokens. In 2019, ShapeShift launched a new platform that enabled users to buy and manage cryptocurrencies with hardware wallets. In 2021, ShapesShift became a DEX, known as ShapeShift DAO. This same year, the network created its native cryptocurrency, ShapeShift FOX (FOX) on Ethereum, an ERC-20 token that is primarily used for governance and utility purposes. Today, the protocol supports trading across different blockchain networks including Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), Bitcoin, Cosmos, and THORChain.
